buy art and feel good about it!

The annual auction fundraiser for the Studio Art Quilt Associates (SAQA) is going on now, and, guess what? Bids open tomorrow on the section that includes my contribution!

My piece, Silvergirl and Sisters, features images of the glass and textile portraits that graced my work "Uncommon Edges" in the recent "Edges" exhibit at the Long Beach International Quilt Festival (you can see the "Edges" exhibit at next month's Houston International Quilt Festival).

SAQA
is a terrific nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting the art quilt. These goals are accomplished through education and exhibitions and other means. Members' artwork can be found in museums, galleries, national and international exhibitions, and private collections.

The bidding starts tomorrow. Here's the schedule:

Section 2 - September 17th at 2:00 Eastern - $750
Section 2 - September 18th at 2:00 Eastern - $550
Section 2 - September 19th at 2:00 Eastern - $350
Section 2 - September 20th at 2:00 Eastern - $250
Section 2 - September 21st at 2:00 Eastern - $150
Section 2 - September 22nd at 2:00 Eastern - $75

"Silvergirl and Sisters" is on page 2a, at the bottom. Come on down (literally)!
