When teaching at UCLA, I was lucky enough to work with students engaged in really compelling scientific research -- the things we read about that use genetic manipulation to fashion cancer cures. Often, my students would give me permission to use their photos for my own artistic endeavors.
The first photo depicts a design I fashioned from a series that included the second photo. Presently, I am revisiting those images, seeking fodder for a new piece.
