Usually the birds drink and bathe in a huge urn we have in the front garden, and they leave the pond to the goldfish.
So you can imagine the smile this entertaining scene induced. The finch descended the ramp and proceeded to immerse itself in feather cleaning, intermittently sending ripples through the pond -- what was equally entertaining was the response of the goldfish, which you can see huddled under the commotion. Delightful.
