At the risk of sounding like a saccharine Goody Two Shoes(yes, that's redundant), I must share that I have been singing/saying "...these are the good old days..." for some time now -- and the simple fact that this is the ending line of Carly Simon's 'Anticipation' makes the phrase ever more apropos.
Aside from the life-richness I feel, this week has offered the titillation of the first reveal of our minigroup-of-eight challenge. Wednesday evening we shared our several works, all inspired by one photo provided by one member. They were and are...well, spectacular.
Well, you can decide whether this is an appropriate adjective this Sunday, when we post our final pieces, together with the continued story of their making, the first chapter of that story having been posted earlier this month and last.
The photo above shows my label -- first, the original image, and second, my digital rendering of what I wanted to create. The story of my piece follows those. If you click on the photo, you can better see the images.
I'll give another head's up on this Sunday. The blog address is http://digitaltotextile.blogspot.com
