the festival

It's finished, it's gorgeous, and it's a huuuuuuge hit! On Wednesday we installed the "Beneath the Surface" exhibit at the International Quilt Festival in Long Beach, a day of giggles and mini-gaffes and just plain fun. For a photo of the proud and sweaty installation crew, go to the Dinner at Eight artists' blog.

Yesterday included working the SAQA booth, taking a Shibori class (terrrrific!), attending the SAQA reception, and then sharing dinner with the exhibit artists.  Pretty swell, I'd say, except for the hit and run rear ender accident my friend and I were in a few minutes into our very long drive home.

Though quite shaken up, we are all right, though mighty miffed at the cowardice and illegal behavior of the driver who rear ended us.

On a lighter note, the exhibit catalog is for sale at the show, and is available online. The photo above shows my little 15 minutes in the book! And a reminder, I make no $$ on this and only post this link for those who might be interested.
