good things

A morning stroll in Boston with our best friends a few years back offered this magical scene, multilayered reflections in a pond, lichen, autumn hues.

My dear photograph of Noel's farm was juried into a Ventura Arts Council exhibit, "Motive Art: What Moves Us, Autos to Bicycles." The show opens at the Ventura County Government Center tomorrow and runs through the end of November.

In studying the photo and gussying it up for printing, I found more lettering on the outhouse. In addition to the English (outhouse) and German (die toilette)versions, there is something written in Spanish. The paint has faded too much for me to retrieve it well, but the Spanish translation el excusado looks like it would be a perfect fit.

Thank you, Victoria. It seems good things abound these days, not the least of which is this fabulous autumn light!
