Today presents a fine opportunity to do a lot of hand stitching on the first part of the triptych. As I stitch, I listen to the TV in the background, today featuring a young midwestern couple on HGTV's House Hunters International deciding on which of three Fiji estates to buy for their vacation home. Really?
Their conundrum does not distract me from my own, one that becomes more apparent as I stitch.
The alternative it to take out all the stitching, which really isn't feasible given the needle holes that would remain. I would have to make another print, and start anew, not a happy thought.
I am sure I will be able to rationalize my way to a happy resolution. At any rate, the dilemma is not interfering with the delightful meditative state that comes with intense stitching. By the way, I think the young midwestern couple will choose the Fiji estate I like best. I always like it when that happens.

Those many small decisions are what makes your art really YOURS, so whichever decision you make, it will be the right one. Hang in there!
As to House Hunters International, a great favorite in this house, vacation estate shopping in Fiji is not part of my reality, though it is fun to watch others!
Tina, I thank you. I finished that one area, and I do like it. I might make two versions of this piece. It is interesting how this incremental approach offers a series of options. And yes, it is nice to have some other person's reality going on in the background, a counterpoint indeed!
