calligraphy and me

I am working on a commission that calls for colors with a Latin flair, and a subtheme of a spare Asian aesthetic. Hmmm.

The installation will be in sections, suspended by a cable system, and I just finished the first piece -- 19" square. This photo shows one section -- the only part that has any movement in it, what I see as calligraphic marks...
