The late-season mottled petals of alstroemeria, but strong colors, still.
With these photos, I was playing with composition -- the strong diagonal line in the top photo, echoing the movement of the tiger stripes...these stripes are vertical in the lower picture, leading down to the wild curves of the stamens, diamond studded.
