cadmium red to the rescue

After painting:

Before painting:

Cadmium red acrylic and transparent Setacolor vermillion paint, applied with a Japanese sumi brush, were my tools as I undertook to even out the undertones of the silkscreened willow tree -- I also wanted to alter the texture. Unfortunately, these photos do not depict the color change -- the result reads "red," not brown.

It's an odd piece. But I like it.
