fearful symmetry (apologies to William Blake)



...I was able to cut off the opposite corner of the broken willow tree piece. I think now the top two edges should match, so my next step will be to cut those off. Then I will grind them all down to attempt some semblance of symmetry.  Hope springs eternal.

That design is so serene looking. I wouldn't expect that from such a rich red. Lovely.

Please be careful when working on the symmetry. I recently tried evening out the sides of a carrot cake attempting achieve perfect symmetry. I don't have to tell you how that ended.
