Christmas quilt continued

...continuing with our journey through my Christmas quilt. How long did it take, you ask? Only ten years, give or take a year...

This block features a flannel angel blowing her horn over a bevy of reindeer and a sassy Frosty, complete with Christmas scarf and pet kitty. Two rabbits are hopping into view on the lower left (it's hard to make applique rabbit ears when you aren't very good at point-making with folds -- back in the day, there was no fusible web method).

One of the most delightful parts of making this quilt was working with a fabric that had little teddy bears wearing sweaters spelling out "Noel" -- which happens to be my husband's name.

Whenever I could, I arranged the bears so they would cheer "Noel" front and center...as you will see in future blocks, I had a whole lotta fun with those teddy bears...

Love quilt. I hope you'll check out the Virtual Christmas Quilt Show that I've hosting and enter your quilt.

I have a quilt my mom made for me that is backed and bound with similar bear fabric. My bears spell LOVE though.
