the not-to-be-missed Bob Adams threadwork class

This piece absolutely sings, and I wish I could say I made it  --  but those talented hands holding it up are those of Bob Adams, who is teaching a workshop on threadwork at the Quilters' Studio.

His work has been honored at major venues, nationally and internationally -- and one of the best features of the class (one day into the three day fest) is being able to touch and feel the art.  And he brings suitcases-full of his treasures.

The texture and depth he achieves with his combination of thread and surface design are unique.  Here are some detail shots of my fav-o-rite piece:
