foggy fun

An old white linen blouse + acrylic paint & water = ??? Some sort of recycled material must be used in my rose/Fibervision challenge piece. So, in the wee hours today I disassembled my linen blouse and dipped the pieces in a mixture of cadmium yellow medium and cadmium red hue acrylic paints mixed with tap water.

The fabric will be used as a backdrop for my fused glass rose as well as the rose photographs (both pictured in my September 9 blog entry).

I like the splotchy spots where the paint accumulated.  Drying will take awhile in the heavy fog that is visiting the backyard, above. Can you spot St. Francis of Assisi? My "Black Dog" mosaic? A Tom Torrens sculpture? The wonky fence?
