These are not "pretty" pictures, but as I have studied this new piece, my mind has traveled to the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy. We've all anguished over the incalculable losses, and, as well, have marveled at soul helping soul, and the resilience of so many. I see chaos in this piece, but then a settling, some elegant twists and some beauty emerging from that chaos. And that makes me feel really good.
