Work continues on pieces for my upcoming exhibit, "Crossover." I have been creating holograms from my "what remains" images -- I print the image on silk organza and 'frame" it with silk dupioni.
The textile is gallery wrapped around a 12" frame that is 1.5" deep. The image is also printed on a white background, which is attached to the back of the frame -- so there is that 1.5" separation of the images, making for a way-cool play of lines. The holographic method was not created by moi, but by artist Wen Redmond.
