installation in situ

In our crazy winter weather, a cloudy day has been a rare event. Today, we even had a bit of rain, thank goodness. I took the opportunity to stop by the glass installation, hoping for a reflection-free photo opportunity. Yes!

The entire entryway is beautifully designed with several delightful artworks peeking about -- see the almost-Chartres-blue glass ball on a metal rod opposite my glass -- and the painted rebar-and-metal sculpture on the left side towards the front door.

The door itself is a massive slab of some fascinating wood whose genus and species escape me. Its color bounces back to the chestnut=colored sections of the glass, methinks. Well, I guess it's okay to like your own work...
